An Egyptian living in Europe but her heart stayed back home. Having some random thoughts about the before and after pictures. Ghawayesh means bracelets. In my context it symbolizes the cuffs of my culture. I don't know if I like them or hate them. Thanks for passing by.

I started this blog in 2006 as a joke. Now that I look back, I have decided to take it seriously!

Hey Bush "Moran"- How About Science Instead of Killing People for Fuel?

I cannot tell you how much I hate Bush. I can't tell you how much that 7ayawan rocked my faith in democracy, America, and all it supposedly stands for.

As I was reading some of my favorite quotes about horse manure (I am fascinated by scheisse), this very one left me thinking:

“They think they can make fuel from horse manure - Now, I don't know if your car will be able to get 30 miles to the gallon, but it's sure gonna put a stop to siphoning”

- Billie Holiday

When I worked with UNICEF in Upper Egypt, we built septic tanks (ST) in remote villages that didn't have sewage. ST are big containers under the ground with toilets on top. Simple and very functional with one condition: You HAVE to use lots of water otherwise a big problem of flammable gas production would happen.

Of course some "lock-heads" wouldn't listen! One of them insisted that water would make the tank too full too soon. One day he was taking a scheisse and obviously el-tagally made him want to light a cigarette, and before he knew it, the whole neighborhood blew up in flames like a Bond movie scene- and his butt was literally on fire. Aa wallahi. They found the bare-arsed Saeedi dude some 50 metres away!

Horse manure? Why go far? We carry treasures in our colons!

It's called science. Ever heard of this, Mr. Jackass President?

Gatak dahya f'shaklak, Mr. President.
